Eagles Passage depicts Eagle River, Alaska as viewed from the Eagle River Bridge on the Glenn Highway. James Havens painted on location at the bridge each evening in June to capture the right lighting. The large cottonwood tree on the right was painted where it once stood and replaces the power lines which now cross the river.  Eagles Passage was completed in June of 2002 and is available in a canvas edition as well as a limited edition of artist proofs.
