Art collectors know painter James Havens for his large, classic museum pieces featuring historic subject matter, percent for art projects, allegories featuring monumental angelic figures and images of the Iditarod Trail and Alaska.

James Havens was born in Bangor, Maine in the winter of 1968. James Havens Attended the University of Alaska Fairbanks as well as Anchorage. In 1990 James Havens attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA.

James Havens is currently based in Anchorage, AK, and owns with his wife and two children, the Havens Studio and Gallery llc. The Havens Studio & Gallery llc represents as well as publishes exclusively the art of James Havens. 

Artists James Havens original pieces are featured in many private, corporate and permanent museum collections.
